Black Hills Powwow 2025
I went to the Annual Black Hills Powwow in 2023 and had an wonderful experience. I got a lot of photos then but never put them up, not this year. This year I was able to get more and better than last time. Seeing this in person was another great experience and I’m glad I was able to see it again! The regalia and dance was spectacular, but what I appreciate and respect the most is they show respect for their ancestral heritage, their elders, and their traditions. I have great respect for the Native people, and their cultural celebrations and thank them for allowing us to be a part of it, much like they recognize and are apart of some of our cultural celebrations.
As I was about to leave, I was blessed with an opportunity to photograph a young Native boy dressed in his regalia with his parents’ permission. They graciously let me take a picture of him and let me post it along with the rest on this page. They were a nice and kind young Native family and I thank them for giving me the honor to share this photograph of their son. I have been contacted by the young Native boy's father, and I have sent him a copy of the photo below! I hope everyone who visits this page enjoys the photos as much as I enjoyed taking them. God bless
